Finally, the brackets are out, and so are the times for the 1st and 2nd round games. The announcing teams for each site where also announced on Sunday. Check out the times and announcers below.
Enough of trying to predict the field. In my Bracketology I predicted 67 of the 68 teams in the NCAA tournament. I also had 39 teams with the right seed, and had 21 teams +/- a seed. Check out the bracket below. To no surprise Kentucky was the number 1 overall seed. Also getting number 1 seeds where Syracuse North Carolina and Michigan State. Kentucky and Michigan State will be on the same side of the bracket. The only team that made it that shocked me was Iona. I thought Drexel should have been ahead of Iona, but that was my only beef.
Stay tuned to Roundballchat this week as I will breakdown the entire field of 68 teams.
Announcing teams and what I think of them.
Jim Nantz / Clark Kellogg* – Lead team they will be calling the best games throughout including the final four. Kellogg is ten times better than Billy Packer.
Marv Albert / Steve Kerr*- Solid team even though I can’t get used to Albert calling NCAA games. Kerr is very knowledgeable.
Verne Lundquist / Bill Raftery*- “Onions” . Other than Lundquist messing up players names this is a solid pair.
Kevin Harlan / Len Elmore / Reggie Miller*- Elmore and Miller together ugh…
Ian Eagle / Jim Spanarkel- This duo has been together forever.
Brian Anderson / Dan Bonner- Who is Brian Anderson?
Tim Brando / Mike Gminski- Like Jay Bilas, Gminski is another great Duke analyst.
Spero Dedes / Bob Wenzel – Who is Spero Dedes?
