Top 10 NBA games in March

Published on March 4, 2012 by Scott Shirley   ·   No Comments

The NBA season is just flying by we are already half way done. Now its March so below are my top 10 games to watch in the month of March.

1. Heat at Thunder (Mar. 25th) – This will be the first time that the two best teams in the league meet. Could this be a preview of the NBA finals? Why not, watch Kevin Durant battle LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Durant is a much more likeable star than James or Wade. Right now Durant and James are in a head to head battle for MVP right now James has a slight edge.

2.Heat at Bulls (Mar. 14th) – This will be a rematch of the Eastern Conference Finals, in which the Heat dominated. The problem for the Bulls is they only have 1 superstar compared to the three from the Heat. We will find out if the Bulls have gotten better. These two best teams in the East and they will likely meet in the East finals again.

3.Thunder at Lakers (Mar. 29th) – This game is all about the old and the new. The Lakers have been the team to beat in the west for a while now, but they are getting old; Kobe Bryant’s knees are wearing down. The Thunder look to be the team in the future; with superstars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

4.Heat at Lakers(Mar. 4th)- The Heat already beat the Lakers this season they are out for revenge. There is more fire to this game after Dwayne Wade broke Kobe Bryant’s nose in the All Star Game.. Every time Bryant and LeBron James are on the same court there is a debate to who is the better player. Give me Bryant any day of the week; he’s got the rings to prove it and is a more clutch player.

5. Celtics at Lakers (Mar. 11th) – Any time these two rivals get together it’s a big deal. Many thought that they would play in a third straight NBA finals, but that didn’t happen last season. Still though both of these fans and players hate each other, and whenever the two best NBA franchises get together it is must watch TV.

6.Celtics at Knicks (Mar. 4th) – Yes, the Knicks are back and the rivalry with the Celtics should heat up. The Celtics defeated the Knicks in the first round of the playoffs last year. Anytime it’s New York against Boston it is must watch TV. The Knicks are a must watch now with Jeremy Lin.

7. Mavericks at Heat (Mar. 29th) – This will be a rematch of last year’s NBA finals in which Dallas won. Dallas star Dirk Nowitzki outplayed Miami’s Dwyane Wade and LeBron James. James came up really small especially in the 4th quarter. Wade and James mocked Nowitzki illness, but still Nowitzki got the last laugh as he was named finals MVP.

8.Spurs at Thunder (Mar. 16th) – This game is all about the old and the new. The Spurs have been one of the teams to beat in the west for a while now, but they are getting old. The Thunder are the team of the future; with superstar Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Do the Spurs have one last run in them with Tony Parker and Tim Duncan.

9. Clippers at Thunder (Mar. 21th) – If the Clippers want to get through the West they are going to have to get past the Thunder. So this will be a true test to see where the Clippers are at. Great match up of point guards Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul. Also when Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant are on the court it is must watch TV.

10. Clippers at Timberwolves (Mar. 5th)- Who would have thought after last season this game would feature a ton of star power well it does. The Clippers feature Blake Griffin and Chris Paul and the Timberwolves have Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love. All four players will likely be battling in out in this year’s summer games. Kevin Love hit a three to beat the Clippers the first time they played can he do it again?
