Video : Indiana Pacers Mascot breaks backboard at High School Game
Published on January 21, 2012 by Scott Shirley · No CommentsWe are used to seeing players break backboards here and there but not mascots. Well last night at an Indiana State high school basketball game between New Palestine and Triton Central a mascot did break the backboard.
The Indiana Pacers Mascot Boomer attending the game to try and put on a show for the crowd. So they brought out a trampoline and put in on the foul line for Boomer. The mascot got a running start jumped off the trampoline at the foul line flipped in the air then dunked the ball with authority. Boomer completely shattered the backboard.
Since there was not a backup backboard available the game had to relocated to an auxiliary gym. On the twitter page for Boomer all he had to say was “Oooops.” You would have to think that the Pacers would help out the high school with a new backboard.
