Time again for another recruiting report. I will keep this a weekly thing. There was only one big commit this past week. Things are starting to die down on the recruiting trial, after there where a ton of commitments in the month of September. All these players I am updating on are the class of 2012 meaning they will be playing in college during the 2012-13 season
Xavier Johnson (Colorado) – Xavier Johnson is rated by Scout.com as the 16th best small forward in the country. He plays his high school basketball at Mater Dei High School in California, which is really well known. Johnson best asset is his shooting ability. He is deadly from three-point range. He also has a very solid mid range game, and he is a good passer. Johnson also brings effort on defense, but he needs to work on his rebounding. He can sometimes settle on shooting the threes too much instead of attacking the rim. Johnson has a lot of potential and could get a lot better. Colorado had a good run last year, but they lost a lot of players, therefore this year will be a rebuilding year, but the program will be in good hands in the future players like Johnson.
Other notable commits
SF Negus Webster-Chan (Missouri)
SG Melvin Johnson (Miami)
