There were rumors that the Philadelphia 76ers where looking to trade Andre Iguodala, that can’t happen during the NBA lockout. Speaking of the lockout, Iguodala doesn’t think there is going to be a NBA season in 2011-12.
Iguodala recently express his thoughts about the lockout to CSNPHILLY.com. “You know there’s not going to be a season. I thought with the season we had and the TV ratings that we had and this being one of the largest grossing revenue seasons in the history of the game, you would think that we would be able to reach an agreement. But we are so far apart.”
The more and more I hear about this lockout; I really think that the season will be canceled. The NBA is ten times worst than the NFL. Heck even NBAPA chief Billy Hunter said recently that there will not be a season in 2011-12. According to reports the sides are said to be somewhere around $800 million apart.
Iguodala is just one of a whole bunch of players that are overpaid. Of courses the owners want lower salary caps and shorter guaranteed contracts, but it’s their fault for letting for giving too much money out in the first place.
Minnesota Timberwolves Michael Beasley made news last week for punching a fan at Dyckman Park in New York City. Now Milwaukee Bucks star Brandon Jennings is making news there also.
In the video below Jennings passes it off the defender’s head, then goes by him for the lay up. Of course a lot of people are saying he was showing off, but why not it was all in good fun.
Jennings has been playing in a ton of summer leagues this summer, thats really good to see. Whether or not he improving we won’t know until we finally have a season.
