LeBron James done playing in the Olympics?

Published on July 29, 2013 by Scott Shirley   ·   No Comments

LeBron James is by far the best basketball player on the planet, but his days in playing in the Olympics are likely over. The 2016 Games are in Rio De Janeiro, and according to Yahoo Sports, as of today James would not play in the 2016 games.

“LeBron is going to be three years older during the next Olympics (he’s 28 now). He will have two older boys. He has a lot to endure with his family,” a source told Yahoo! Sports. “He played in three Olympics. Everyone that knows LeBron knows it’s always based on a decision at that moment. But if the moment was today, the answer would be no.

“The only way I could see him playing in the Olympics is if his country really, really needed him to play,” the source added. “But hasn’t he done enough?”

James has helped the United State win back to back Gold Medals, but now it looks like the future of USA Basketball will be Kevin Durant.
