Michael Snaer clutch again

Published on February 7, 2013 by Scott Shirley   ·   No Comments

Here is what I wrote about Florida State’s Michael Snaer a week ago.

There is no more clutch player in college basketball than Florida State’s Michael Snaer. Including last night’s heroics Snaer has made 4 game winning buzzer beaters in the last two seasons. Mostly notably he hit a three pointer at Duke last season to give the Seminoles the win.

Now, back to last night Snaer hit a jumper with 46 seconds left to cut the Maryland lead to one point. The Seminoles then held on defense. FSU had the ball with 8 seconds left and they were throwing in out of bounds. They ball got the ball in Ian Miller’s hands and he drove the lane and kicked it out to the wide open Snaer, who drilled the game wining three pointer with 1.1 seconds left to give FSU the two point win.

For the game Snaer finished with 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Below is video of all of Snaer’s game winning shots over the last two seasons.

Now, Snaer has done it again. He hit another game winner to lift FSU past Georgia Tech. The game was tied at 54 and he drove down the lane and put up a underhand scoop shot that bank of the glass and went in to give the Seminoles the victory.
