Kyrie Irving and Eric Gordon shine over the weekend

Published on January 7, 2013 by Scott Shirley   ·   No Comments

The Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Hornets are two of the worst teams in the NBA, but over the weekend both of their stars hit game winning shots.

First it was Cavs point guard Kyrie Irving turn. With the game against Charlotte tied at 104 there was no question who would be taking the last shot. He beat his defender off the dribble and stepped back and nailed the game winning shot to give the Cavs a much needed win.

For the game he finished with 23 points.

Eric Gordon is just coming back from knee surgery but his impact is already being felt. Gordon was sent to the Hornets as part as the Chris Paul trade.

With the game against Dallas tied in overtime, Gordon made an incredible shot and got fouled to complete the three point play. Check it out below.
