Will LeBron be back for the next Olympics?

Published on August 15, 2012 by Scott Shirley   ·   No Comments

LeBron James has had quite the year. He won his third league MVP and won his first NBA Championship. He also just wrapped up winning his second gold medal. He was Cleary the best player in London? So the next question is will he be back for the next Olympics in Rio in 2016.

According to Jeff Zilgitt of USA Today James might not play in the 2016 Olympics. Via Twitter

LeBron James: “It’s been a great run honestly. I don’t know if I’m going to be part of the 2016 team.”

Even Though James said this odds are he will be there in Rio in 2016. James will be 31, but he still will be in great shape and have the same skill set. He may be worn out but when it goes down to it James will be hungry for that 3rd medal.

Just look back and what James did in this year’s Olympics. (From my game stories from the Olympics)

LeBron James was the second best player for the Americans and he didn’t even score in double figures. James set the tone with his passing. James finished the game with 9 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds. James has great vision for a player his size.

James was on the Olympic team that lost to Lithuanian and now he is the reason the Americans won today. James scored 9 of 20 points in the final 4 minutes of the game. James was 9 of 14 from the field. Can we officially stop all the talk that James in not clutch.

LeBron James was the American second leading scorer with 18 points on 7 of 12 shooting. He also added 5 assists. Chris Paul had his best game in the American run so far. He finished with 17 points on 6 of 7 shooting from the flied. He made 5 three pointers and also added 7 assists.

James finished this game with a triple double becoming the first U.S. player to do so. He finished the game with 11 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists. The assists tied the U.S. Olympic single game high. His passing ability is what set James apart from other star players especially for his size.

LeBron James continues to be the best all-around player for the Americans. He finished the game with 18 points, 7 assists, and 7 rebounds. James was 8 of 12 from the field.

LeBron James once again does it all for the Americans. He finished this game with 19 points on 8 of 13 shooting from the field. He also added 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Can we officially stop with all the talk that James in not clutch? With the game tighten up in the 4th is when James was at his best during this game. He added a couple of clutch shots.
