Cleveland getting involved in a 3- team deal that would see Howard to Brooklyn?

The Brooklyn Nets are getting closer to obtaining Dwight Howard according to reports. The Orlando Magic and Nets might be off on agreeing on a deal but now a third team is added to the mix in the Cleveland Cavaliers.

According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports that Cavaliers are interested in the Nets center Kris Humphries. Below is what Berger tweeted .

-One possible destination for Humphries is Cleveland, who would get the forward in a sign-and-trade arrangement, source says.

-Nets “making progress” on finding a third team to take Kris Humphries in a scenario that would send Dwight Howard to Brooklyn, source says.

Here is what Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports tweeted.

-Cleveland’s interest with Humphries is exclusively to use him as a means to stockpile further draft picks and assets, league source says.

By adding a third team, the Magic can get more 1st round picks and other assets. Humphries would be shipped to the Cavs in a sign and trade deal.

I could really see this happening, because the Cavs really need a center on their roster. Humphries, is just 27 years old and averaged a double double last season.

It has been no secret that they only team Howard wants to play for next season is the Nets. It looks like the Nets may be close to getting Howard and having their own so called big three. The big three would consist of point guard Deron Williams and wing player Joe Johnson. The Nets resigned Williams and traded for Johnson.

We will just have to sit back and watch this play out in the next couple days. If the Nets get Howard watch out the rest of the Eastern Conference.
