Top 5 plays from the Conference Finals

1. Durant dunks on Duncan -The Oklahoma City Thunder needed a victory in game 3 if they wanted any hope of beating the San Antonio Spurs in a 7 games series. Well, the Thunder brought there A-game as the destroyed the Spurs 102 to 82. The highlight of the night came when Thunder superstar Kevin Durant threw down a monster dunk.

Late in the 1st quarter Russell Westbrook rebounded a Tony Parker missed shot and pass the ball right away in the backcourt. Durant brought the ball up the court and James Harden set a pick for Durant. Durant then had a clear lane to the basket until he got to the rim . There future hall of famer Tim Duncan would be waiting for Durant. However, that didn’t bother Durant as he attacked Duncan and dunk on him. Check out the play on video below.

2. LeBron James monster putback dunk -LeBron James finished the game 6 with 45 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists. His 45 points are the most of any player so far in these 2012 NBA playoffs. James scored 30 of those points in the 1st half. There is no question if the game was a blowout and James didn’t sit late in the 4th quarter he could have went for 60 points or so.

Two of his 45 came on a monstrous dunk. Chris Bosh threw up a jump hook in the lane at the time James was still near the three point line. Bosh’s shot missed but James came out of nowhere to threw down the one handed dunk off the miss. The Celtics just watch James dunk on them they didn’t even try to box him out.

3.  Rajon Rondo’s crazy fake -Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo is truly a magician with the basketball. That was on display in the Celtics game 3 win over the Miami Heat.

Late in the 3rd quarter Kevin Garnett set a pick near the three point line for Rondo. Rondo then dribbled towards the basket with only Udoins Haslem in the way. As soon as Rondo got to Haslem he faked a behind pass that completely faked Haslem out. Rondo then went in for the wide open layup. Rondo just makes it look so easy compared to everyone else in the NBA.

The Celtics won game 3 101-91. Rondo finished the game with 24 points, 10 assists and 6 rebounds. He is really a threat to get a triple double on every night. Check out the play below.

4. Brandon Bass dunks on Dwyane Wade

5. Tim Duncan dunks on Serge Ibaka – Who said Tim Duncan was getting old? Last night in the San Antinio Spurs game 3 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder Duncan showed he still had something left in the tank . Duncan threw down a monster dunk that had to remind people of the Duncan of 5 years ago.

Late in the 2nd quarter Duncan set a pick for Manu Ginobili near the three point line. Duncan then rolled to the basket and Ginobili passed the ball to Duncan. Duncan then took one step and threw down a monster one handed dunk on Ibaka. Remember Ibaka is one of the best shot blockers in the NBA. The Spurs are no doubt the best pick and roll team in the NBA

After this dunk the Thunder were never close to the Spurs. The Spurs cruised to a 120 to 111 victory. Duncan had an off night only making 2 field goals but one of those was a big field goal that brough the crowd and the Spurs bench to their feet.
