Carter Airballs a finger roll

Published on April 16, 2012 by Scott Shirley   ·   No Comments

Vince Carter is one of the best dunkers in the history of the NBA, but for whatever reason in a game last night he attempted a finger roll that did not go as well.

This happened in a game last night when the Sacramento Kings visited the Dallas Mavericks. In the 3rd quarter of that game Carter took a pass from Jason Kidd at the top of the three point line. Carter then faked out his defender with a pump fake and headed towards the basket. The line was wide open for Carter as there were no defenders in sight.

For whatever reason Carter attempted a finger roll instead of throwing it down. The finger roll was way off as Carter air balled it. Carter then grabbed the rebound and he was called for traveling. I guess this is just what happens when you get up there in age.

The Mavs won the game 110-100 and Carter finished with 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
