Top 15 Shooting Guards in college basketball

College basketball regular season is winding down so who have been the best shooting  guards in college basketball this season find out below. I will have another list at the end of the season.

Top 15 Shooting Guards

1. John Jenkins, Vanderbilt (Jr.) – Jenkins led the SEC in scoring last season, and he is doing the same this season with 20.1 points per game. Jenkins is deadly from three for the season he is making 3.9 threes per game, while shooting 46 % from three.

2. Darius Johnson-Odom, Marquette (Sr.) – He continues to be one of the most underrated players in the country. Odom is 2th in the Big East in scoring (18.7). Odom also averages 3.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists. He is also making 2.3 threes per game while shooting 40 % from three.

3. J’Covan Brown, Texas (Jr.) – Brown is leading the Big 12 in scoring with 19.7 points per game, and he is the leader of a young Longhorn team. He is also averaging 3.8 assists and 3.1 rebounds. He is also making 2.4 threes per game.

4. Marcus Denmon, Missouri (Sr.) –Denmon is the second leading scorer in the Big 12 with 17.8 points per game. Denmon is making 2.8 three pointers per game, that’s first in the Big 12. Denmon is also averaging 5.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

5.William Buford, Ohio State (Sr.) – Buford is one of the most underrated shooting guards in the country. For the season he is averaging 15.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3 assists. He is also making 1.7 threes per game.

6. Jared Cunningham, Oregon State (Jr.) – Cunningham is one of the most explosive players in the country. Right now Cunningham is the favorite to win Pac 12 Player of the Year. He leads the Pac 12 in points (18.6) and steals (2.7). He also averages 2.6 assists.

7. Kenny Boynton, Florida (Jr.) – Boynton is third in the SEC in scoring with 17.6 points per game. He is also making 3.4 threes per game while shooting 44% from three. He is also averaging 2.7 assists on the season.

8. Tony Wroten, Washington (Fr.) – Wroten is doing it all as a freshman. This season he is averaging 16. 5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2 steals. He is the third leading scorer in the Pac 12.

9. Doron Lamb, Kentucky (Soph.) – Lamb is the second leading scorer on the Wildcats averaging 13.7 points per game. For the season he is shooting 49 % from three. He makes 2 threes per game.

10. Ramone Moore, Temple (Sr.)- Moore is the leader of a very underrated Temple team. This season he is averaging 18.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists. He is shooting 40 % from three

11.Maalik Wayns, Villanova (Jr.) – Villanova has been disappointing on the season but not Wayns. He is averaging 17.8 points, 4.5, and 4 rebounds. Wayns is also making about 1.5 threes per game.

12. Tim Hardaway ,Michigan ( Soph.)- Is the son of former NBA star Tim Hardaway. Hardaway Jr. is averaging 14.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists. He has one of the best mid range games in college basketball.

13. Steven Pledger, Oklahoma (Jr.) – Pledger is averaging 16.8 points per game on the season, which is good for fourth in the Big 12. From three Pledger is shooting 43 %, while making 2.6 threes per game.

14. Orlando Johnson, UC Santa Barbara (Sr.) – Johnson is one of the best players in the nation that does not get the attention because he plays in a smaller league. He is averaging 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

15. Drew Crawford, Northwestern (Jr.)- Crawford is fourth in the Big Ten in scoring with 16.2 points per game. Crawford also averages 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists. He is also shooting 40 % from three.
