Billboard in Orlando says bring Chris Paul to the Magic

Published on December 8, 2011 by Scott Shirley   ·   1 Comment

Without Dwight Howard the Orlando Magic are nothing. Howard is in the last year of his contract. Many believe this is Howard’s last year in Orlando. In fact there are ton of rumors going around that have Howard traded somewhere else before this upcoming season starts on Christmas day. Most notably to the Los Angeles Lakers.

What would be the only thing to keep Howard in Orlando, other star players. Howard has admitted that if the Magic don’t get another star player he is gone. He could go to any team he likes in free agency to play with whatever NBA stars he wants too.

I think Orlando management knows this but they just don’t have the money and not many players want to commit long term to a small market team.

Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets is in the same situation as Howard. A star player in the last year of his contract.

The Orlando Magic are a pretty good team with Howard, they will make the playoffs but there is no way that they are going to win a championship. So why not trade for Paul ? Wow, Paul and Howard on the same team all the sudden they are title contenders.

If you have to give away a couple players to get Paul so what, you are going to have to rebuild when Howard leaves anyways.

Someone agrees with me, in a billboard in Orlando it has the following message.

Orlando, how nice would this be for the Holidays? Otis, make it happen! www.bringchrispaul.com
