Video : Jeremy Lamb has the dunk of the year on opening night?

Published on November 12, 2011 by Scott Shirley   ·   No Comments

In last years run to the national championship UConn’s Jeremy Lamb emerged as a star. Yes, Kemba Walker, was their best player but without Lamb they don’t even come close to cutting down the nets in April.

This year the Huskies are Jeremy Lamb’s team. On Friday the Huskies opened the season by besting Columbia. Lamb was by far the best player on the court scoring 30 points.

The first thing people will remember from this game is not his 30 points, but his posterizing dunk. Lamb basically jumps over a defender, who was trying to take a charge and throws it down. For right now it is the best dunk in college basketball this season. It will take a great dunk to pass Lamb’s. It not often you get the dunk of the year on opening night.

Watch the video below. (His dunk occurs about 1:20 in the video)
