Melvin Ejim has Record Breaking Day for Iowa State
Published on February 9, 2014 by Scott Shirley · No CommentsOn Saturday Melvin Ejim could not be stopped. In the win over TCU Ejim finished with 48 points and 18 rebounds. He was 20 out of 24 from the field.
The 48 points ties BYU’s Tyler Haws and Texas Southern’s Aaric Murray for the points scored in a game this season. The 48 points is a Big 12 record.
“It was teamwork,” Ejim said. “These guys just did a great job finding me in transition and getting me the ball in places where I could score. They made really selfless plays. We were just giving up the ball and luckily, I was on the receiving end.”
