Doug McDermott continues his historic season

Doug McDermott will be the player of the year in college basketball and it won’t even be that close. McDermott’s skills were again on display in Creighton’s late win over St. Johns.

With the game tied at 60, and a couple seconds left everyone in the gym, knew who was going to take the shot. Still McDermott rose up and nailed a three pointer to give the Blue Jays the win.

McDermott finished the game with 39 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists.

“At home this is the best feeling I’ve ever had,” McDermott said. “That Saint Joe’s one was pretty good, too. This tops it.”

“Big-time shot by a big-time player,” St. John’s coach Steve Lavin said.
