Must Plays:
Johnny O’ Bryant III (LSU)- O’ Bryant has been on fire lately. In his last 5 games he is averaging 22 ppg. One of those games was a 30 point effort and he is coming off back to back 24 point games. He has recorded double digit rebounds in 8 of his last 10 games.
Otto Porter Jr. (Georgetown)- Porter is the Hoyas offense. With his play of late he has put his name in the National Player of the Year race. He is coming off a monster game at Syracuse in which he finished with 33 points and 8 rebounds. He has scored in double figures in all but 2 games this season.
Shabazz Muhammad (UCLA)- The true freshman is just a flat out scorer. What makes him tough is he can score in a multiple of ways. On the season he is averaging 18 ppg and 5 rpg. He has scored in double figures in 11 straight games. Last time the Bruins played Arizona State he finished with 18 points.
Value Plays:
Sam Grooms (Oklahoma)- Grooms has come out of nowhere and has starting producing for the Sooners. In his last 3 games he has scored 12, 18, and 23 points, and in all of those games he played over 30 minutes. This from a player that was averaging under 5 ppg on the season.
Kevin Parrom (Arizona)- Parrom is having a up and down season but he is coming off his best game of the season in which he scored 19 points and made 6 three pointers.
Larry Drew II (UCLA)- As a North Carolina fan, I really dislike Drew, because he quit on the team , but as of late Drew has been playing his best basketball. He has been scoring a lot more of late, scoring in double figures in his last 3 games. He has put up more than 5 assists in 5 out of his last 6 games.
Think About Sitting:
Peyton Siva (Louisville)- Siva is just not scoring the ball like I thought he would. He has only scored in double figures in 2 out of his last 8 games, and some of those games were 0 and 2 point games.
Kedren Johnson (Vanderbilt)- Johnson has not been the scorer that he was earlier in the season. Last time out he only managed 3 points. He is not worth his price.
Cory Jefferson (Baylor)- Baylor does not give Jefferson the ball enough. He should be getting more shot attempts than he is getting. He has only scored in double figures in 1 out of his last 4 games. Last time when Baylor played WVU he only finished with 5 points.
Injury update:
Buddy Hield is out for Oklahoma.
Nerlens Noel is out for the season for Kentucky.
