College Basketball Plays + Injury Update - 2/26

Published on February 26, 2013 by Scott Shirley   ·   No Comments

Must Plays:

Trae Golden (Tennessee)- Golden has been on some kind of tear of late. In his last 3 games he has scored over 20 points. Last time out versus Texas A&M Golden finished with 32 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Christian Watford (Indiana) – Wofford is Mr. consistent; he has scored in double figures in 17 straight games. In the first meeting against the Golden Gophers Watford finished with 15 points and 9 rebounds.

Cody Zeller (Indiana)- I still don’t think the Hoosiers give the ball enough to Zeller but in his last 7 games he is on fire. In those games he is averaging 18.2 ppg and 8.14 rpg. In the first meeting versus Minnesota he finished with 18 points.

Value Plays:

Traevon Jackson (Wisconsin)- Jackson has taken over the starting point guard duties since mid-season. In his last 5 games he is averaging 9 ppg and 5 apg. He is really cheap on most sites out there. He should have a pretty good game against a very bad Nebraska team.

Sam Dekker (Wisconsin)- The freshman has stepped it up lately. He has scored in double figures in his last 4 games, and his playing time has increased. Like Jackson, Dekker should have a very good game against the Cornhuskers.

Codi Miller-McIntrye (Wake Forest)- He is coming off a 15 point effort in which Wake Forest beat Miami. Last time Wake Forest played Miami he finished with 14 points.

Think About Sitting:

Andre Hollins (Minnesota)- Hollins has struggled recently in his last two games he scored a combined 14 points. He was 5 of 21 from the field in those two games. To make matters worse he will now have to face the nation’s best defender Victor Oladipo.

Nebraska- The Cornhuskers are very challenged on offense and it will not help that they are going up against a very tough Wisconsin defense. The Badgers opponent’s haven’t scored over 50 points in their last 2 games. The two teams already played this season and Nebraska scored 41 points.

Auburn and Alabama game- I would not take anyone in this game. These two teams already played and neither reached 50 points. Auburn won 49-37.

Injury Update:

Rodney Williams will likely play for Minnesota but he is not 100 %
Michael Frazier and Will Yeguete are out for Florida.
Antonio Barton is out for Memphis.
Terrance Shannon is out for Florida State.
