Finally someone called the Duke Blue Devils for flopping all over the place. That person was Kentucky head coach John Calipari. In a halftime interview with ESPN’s Andy Katz Calipari called out Duke. Here is what he had to say.
“The post defense and some threes. But for us to be in this situation, I’m going to be honest, I’m happy. We got into a little foul trouble but not much. They’re flopping all over the place. In the NBA, they’d all be suspended.”
No other coach in the country would have the guts to call out Duke for flopping on national TV. I bet throughout the years many of coaches wanted to say this but they kept it within their lockeroom and not in the media.
Some say this is a smart play, to me this disrespects the game, if you want to flop around go become an actor. I wish college basketball and the NCAA would come up with a foul or fine for players that flop. This would hopefully stop it from happening in every game and stop basketball from turning into soccer.
Throughout the years Duke players have and come and gone but all of them seem to flop all over the place, the common theme Coach K.
