All ACC Teams

Conference play is over, so it is time to do my all conference teams for each conference. Today I look at the ACC. Find out who have been the best players in the ACC so far. I will also give my player, coach and rookie of the year in the ACC.

Player of the Year: Tyler Zeller (North Carolina)

Coach of the Year: Leonard Hamilton (Florida State)

Freshman of the Year: Austin Rivers (Duke)

1st team

F Tyler Zeller, North Carolina Sr. – Zeller has picked up his play after a slow start and has been the best player in ACC play. For the season Zeller is averaging 16.3 points and 9.3 rebounds. Zeller is also averaging 1.4 blocks per game. Zeller is second in the rebounding and 5th in scoring in the ACC.

F Harrison Barnes, North Carolina Soph. – Barnes was the ACC Freshman of the Year last season, and his play has not dropped off this season. Barnes is averaging 17.4 points per game, Third in the ACC. Barnes has improved his three point shot by shooting 40 % from three. Barnes is also bringing down 5.1 rebounds per game.

F John Henson, North Carolina Jr. – Henson was the ACC Defensive Player of the year last season. He also led the ACC in blocks and rebounds. So far this season Henson is leading the ACC in rebounds and blocks again. He is averaging 10.3 rebounds and 3.2 blocks. Henson is averaging 14.2 points per game.

F Mike Scott, Virginia Sr. – Scott only played 10 games last season thanks to an ankle injury, but that has not slowed him down this season. So far this season he is the ACC 2nd leading scorer with 17.9 points per game. Scott is also averaging 8.3 rebounds per game.

G Kendall Marshall, North Carolina Soph. –Marshall is the best passing point guard in the country and it’s not even close. He is averaging 9.6 assists per game this season. Marshall has a ridiculous assist to turnover ratio of 3.6. He is only a couple assists away from setting the ACC season assist record.

2nd Team

G Austin Rivers, Duke 6-4,200, Fr. – Rivers is the leading scorer for the Blue Devils despite being a freshman. He is averaging 15.3 points per game while shooting 39 % from three. He is also averaging 2.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds.

G Terrell Stoglin, Maryland Soph. – Stoglin is the leading scorer in the ACC with 21.2 points per game. He can score in a multiple of ways. He is making about 2.7 threes per game He is also averaging 1.8 assists and 3.4 rebounds.

F C.J. Leslie, North Carolina State Soph. – Leslie leads the Wolfpack in points (14.2) rebounds (7), and blocks (1.8). He is also averaging 1.1 steals and 1.1 assists.

G Michael Snaer, Florida State Sr. – Snaer is leading Florida State in scoring with 14.1 points per game. He is also averaging 3.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Snaer is shooting 39 % from three while making 1.7 threes per game.

G C.J. Harris, Wake Forest Jr.- Harris is the fourth leading scorer in the ACC with 16.8 points per game. He is shooting 43 % from three, while making 1.7 threes per game. He also averages 3.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

3rd team

G Erick Green, Virginia Tech Jr. – Green leads the Hokies in points (15.4), assists (2.8), and steals (1.4). Green is also averaging 3.3 rebounds per game.

F Mason Plumlee, Duke Jr. – Plumlee has improved his offensive game a lot this season, now his teammates need to get him the ball more. He is averaging 11 points per game while shooting 55 % from the field. He is also third in the ACC in rebounding (9.2). 

F Travis McKie, Wake Forest So. – McKie is the 6th leading scorer in the ACC with 15.9 points per game. He is also Wake Forest’s leading rebounder at 6.9 rebounds per game.

G Durand Scott, Miami Jr.- Scott leads Miami in scoring with 13 points per game. He is also averaging 5.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

G Andre Young, Clemson Sr.- Young leads Clemson in scoring with 13.3 points per game. He is also averaging 2.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.7 steals. Young is making 2.1 threes per game.
