Now we are down to 16 teams left in the NCAA tournament. So who are the best 16 players find out below.
1. Anthony Davis (Kentucky) – Davis will be the Player, Freshman, and Defensive Player of the Year, not bad.
2. Thomas Robinson (Kansas) – Robinson is the most dominant low post scorer in the country. He is also probably the strongest too. He would have my vote for Player of the Year
3. Draymond Green (Michigan State) -. Green is a big man who can do it all. He leads the Spartans in Points, rebounds, blocks and steals. Became just the third player to have multiple triple doubles in the tournament.
4. Jae Crowder (Marquette) – The Big East Player of the Year. Crowder is maybe one of the most underrated players in the country; he needs more publicity. He can fill up a stat sheet.
5. Tyler Zeller (North Carolina) – After a slow start Zeller picked it up during conference play and was named the ACC Player of the Year. Zeller has the best jump hook in college basketball.
6. Jared Sullinger (Ohio State) – Sullinger is a dominant low post scorer, who also controls the glass. He is unstoppable at times.
7. Harrison Barnes (North Carolina) – Barnes has been more aggressive this season attacking the rim, and he is shooting the three better. Need a shot late to win, put money on Barnes to make it
8. John Henson (North Carolina) – If he is healthy he is the 2nd best defender in college basketball. Henson improved his all-around offensive game. Led the ACC in blocks and rebounds.
9. Darius Johnson Odom (Marquette) – Like his teammate Odom, he is really underrated nationally. He is averaging 18.5 points per game.
10. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (Kentucky)- Despite struggling in the first two games; he is still the second best freshman in the country. Gilchrist is very versatile.
11. Cody Zeller (Indiana)- Zeller is what Indiana has been lacking: a dominant low post scorer.
12. Kendall Marshall (North Carolina) – Marshall is one of the best passing point guards to play in college basketball in a long time. Marshall set the record for most assists in the ACC for one season. However, Marshall has a broken right wrist; his status for the rest of the tournament is uncertain.
13. Tyshawn Taylor (Kansas) – Taylor is averaging about 17 points and 5 assists per game not bad. He is also shooting a lot better from three.
14. Jordan Taylor (Wisconsin)- Taylor is one of the most consistent point guards in the nation. He takes care of the ball and he can shoot the three.
15. Deshaun Thomas (Ohio State)- Thomas is on fire right now; in the first game of the NCAA Tournament he scored 31 points. He can score in multiple ways.
16. Brad Beal (Florida)- Beal is an outstanding rebounder for a guard; he is playing his best basketball of the season right now. Also has a sweet stroke.
Just missed
Tu Holloway (Xavier) William Buford (Ohio State) Kris Joseph (Syracuse) Perry Jones III (Baylor) Kenny Boynton (Florida) Terrence Jones (Kentucky) C.J. Leslie (NC State) Doron Lamb (Kentucky) Dion Waiters (Syracuse) Lorenzo Brown (NC State )D.J. Cooper (Ohio) Aaron Craft (Ohio State)
