The NBA All Star game is all about high flying dunks and the off the chart plays. The 2012 NBA ALL Star game was no different there were plenty of spectacular plays on the night. It was hard but below I narrowed it down to my top 5 plays from the NBA All Star game.
I know this was an All Star game where the players aren’t playing all out and no defense but still this was a pretty entertaining game that came down to the wire. In the end Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant outdueled LeBron James to give the Western Conference the 152-149 win. This game even drew some blood when Dwayne Wade fouled Bryant. Durant was the MVP of the game scoring 36 points.
1.The top play isn’t a highlight real play but it’s an accomplishment. Kobe Bryant, playing in his 14th straight All Star game now has a record over the best basketball player of all time Michael Jordan. Bryant’s 27 points give him the most career points in the All Star game passing Jordan. He broke the record on the play below.
2. LeBron James was not in the dunk contest but he did have the best dunk of this year’s All Star game. James dunk was a modified switch-hand, cradle-rock windmill dunk.
3.Kevin Durant was also not in the dunk contest and he also had a highlight dunk. Chris Paul threw a perfect pass off the backboard and Durant threw it down with one hand with authority.
4. Russell Westbrook is one of the most explosive players in the NBA, and on this play below he shows why.
5. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James run the fastbreak to perfection with the Miami Heat and they did so in this All Star game also. James threw a behind the pass to Wade who then threw a perfect alley oop pass to James.
