Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio is a rising star in this league even though this is his first year in the NBA after coming over from Spain. Why is he a rising star? Well mainly because of his flashy style and his ridiculous passing ability.
In a game against the Houston Rockets Rubio put that passing ability on display. Rubio passed the ball to Kevin Love, who then returned the ball back to Rubio then Love cut to the basket. Rubio saw Love cutting to the basket and through a no look behind the back pass to Love who finished the layup. Wow what a flashy dime.
The Timberwolves won the game 111-98. For the game Rubio had 18 points and 9 assists.
Yes, Rubio might struggle as a jump shooter but his flashy style makes him a must watch every night. He has court vision that you cannot teach. I would love to be a teammate of Rubio’s because I would know that he is always thinking pass first.
Check out Rubio’s nifty pass below.
The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Phoenix Suns last night with Kobe Bryant having a huge game but the play of the night came from the Suns Shannon Brown. Brown signed as a free agent with the Suns after playing for the Lakers.
Off a Suns missed jump shot Brown came out of nowhere to put back the rebound with a monster dunk. Brown jumped out off of this gym and threw down the two handed dunk. You have to wonder why Brown is not in this year’s NBA dunk contest.
Besides his dunking ability Brown is having a career year averaging 9 points per game.
Here is the video of Brown’s monster put back dunk.
