Rubio throws a pass between Nowitzki’s legs : Wade compares Rubio to Nash

Ricky Rubio will likely not score a ton of points on most nights, but he will likely wow you with his passing ability every night.

When the Dallas Mavericks came to play the Minnesota Timberwolves Rubio put his passing skills on display. Rubio was driving the baseline when he saw teammate Anthony Tolliver wide open in the corner. Rubio threw a bounce pass to Tolliver that went through Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki legs. Tolliver went on to make the three.

Rubio is still only 21 years old and is his first year in the NBA, but still other NBA players are taking notice of his play on this young season. One of those players is NBA champion and Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade.

Wade told Fox Sports North the following:

“The kid has something. He has that Steve Nash capability,” Wade said. “They’ve got a gem in him. He’s going to be great for them.”

Rubio has great vision but sometimes he tries to force stuff. Rubio is just learning the NBA game coming over from Spain. He will only get better as the season goes on.
