Non Conference play is over, and now it is time for conference play. Now is when we separate the contenders from the pretenders. Who are the players who played the best in the non conference? Below I will release my All Conferences teams so far on this young season. The list will probably be a lot different at the end of the season. Look for my next update at the midpoint of the conference season.
Today I release my all ACC Conference teams.
1st team
F Harrison Barnes, North Carolina So. – Barnes was the ACC Freshman of the Year last season, and his play has not dropped off this season. Barnes is averaging 17.6 points per game. Barnes has improved his three point by shooting 51 % from three. Barnes is also bringing down 4.8 rebounds.
F John Henson , North Carolina Jr. – Henson was the ACC Defensive Player of the year last season. He also led the ACC in blocks and rebounds . So far this season Henson is leading the ACC in rebounds and blocks again. He is averaging 9.9 rebounds and 3.2 blocks. Henson is averaging 14.6 points per game.
G Kendall Marshall, North Carolina So. –Marshall is the best passing point guard in the country and its not even close. He is averaging 10.1 assists per game this season.
F Travis McKie, Wake Forest So. – McKie is the 4th leading scorer in the ACC with 17.5 points per game. He is also Wake Forest’s leading rebounder at 6.5 rebounds per game.
G Terrell Stoglin, Maryland So. – Stoglin is the leading scorer in the ACC with 21.4 points per game. He can score in a multiple of ways. He is making about 2.5 threes per game while shooting 43 % from three. He is also averaging 2.1 assists per game.
2nd Team
F Tyler Zeller , North Carolina Sr. – For the season Zeller is averaging 14.3 points and 8.8 rebounds. Zeller is also averaging 1 block per game.
G Erick Green, Virginia Tech Jr. – Green leads the Hokies in points (15.7), assists (3.4), and steals (1.6). Green is also shooting 41 % from three.
G C.J. Harris, Wake Forest (Jr.)- Harris is the second leading scorer in the ACC with 18.3 points per game. He is shooting 55 % from three.
G Austin Rivers, Duke 6-4,200, Fr. – Rivers is the leading scorer for the Blue Devils despite being a freshman. He is averaging 14.7 points per game while shooting 40 % from three.
F Mike Scott, Virginia Sr. – Scott only played 10 games last season thanks to an ankle injury. So far this season he is the ACC 5th leading scorer with 16.5 points per game. Scott is also averaging 8.9 rebounds per game.
3rd team
G Malcolm Grant, Miami , Sr.- Grant is Hurricanes leading scorer with 13.9 points per game. He is also making about 2.5 threes per game.
F Mason Plumlee, Duke Jr. – Plumlee has improved his offense game a lot this season, now his teammates need to get him the ball more. He is averaging 11.7 points per game while shooting over 60 % from the field. He is also second in the ACC in rebounding.
G Seth Curry,Duke Jr. – Curry is averaging 12.9 points per game while making close to two threes a game. He is also averaging 2.9 assists per game. Second in the ACC in steals.
F C.J. Leslie, North Carolina State So. – Leslie leads the Wolfpack in points (13.5), rebounds (6.5), and blocks (2.2).
G Durand Scott, Miami ,Jr. – Scott is averaging 13.2 points per game on the season. He is also averaging 4.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists.
