Dwyane Wade is a lock for this year’s USA Olympic team and probably the one in 2016. However, Wade said he can’t see himself playing in the 2016 Olympics.
In an interview with Chris Tomasson of Fox Sports Florida Wade gave his thoughts about his Olympic playing future.
“This is my last run,” Wade said. “No chance (Wade will return for another Olympics). No chance at all. Not a chance.”
Wade also thought about skipping this year’s in Olympics in London.
“I thought I was done after the last one,” Wade said. “There are so many great young players in this league, and you want to give everybody an opportunity to be able to play on that stage. And I’ve been able to play on that stage two times already. I got a chance to win my gold medal so I thought, ‘This is a great way to end it….
Wade is 29 years old right now, so it is a little bit shocking that he won’t play in the Olympics in 2016 when he would only be 33 years old. A lot can change from now to then.
There is no question Wade is the best 2 guard in all of the NBA. Wade is one of the easiest pick Coach K will have to make for his roster. He is such a complete guard he can do it all.
Also no question is that Wade is the best guard in the NBA at blocking shots. Wade is about 6 foot 4. For his career he is averaging about a block per game and about 2 blocks per game on this young season.
In a recent game against the Atlanta Hawks Wade had a ridiculous block against Vladimir Radmanovic, who is 6 foot 10.
