Lakers willing to trade Andrew Bynum for Dwight Howard : Howard wants Magic to spend

Over the past couple of years Los Angles Lakers center Andrew Bynum has been untouchable in rumored trades. Jim Buss of the Lakers seems to be in love with Bynum.

I just don’t get that; it seems like Bynum is always hurt and he is also very immature. However, his potential is why the Lakers don’t want to trade him.

According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, the Lakers would move Bynum if a star center was offered to them in return, say Dwight Howard .

It’s no surprise to anyone that the Lakers will be one of the primary suitors in a possible trade for Howard, and a person with knowledge of the team’s strategy told CBSSports.com that executive Jim Buss finally has dropped his opposition to trading center Andrew Bynum “for the right deal.” That’s code for “a deal for Dwight Howard,” and it’s clear from those familiar with Howard’s thinking that he’d like to join the Lakers.

If the Lakers where offered this trade, they would have to accept in a heartbeat. Howard is the best center in the league and ten times better than Bynum. This teams championship window is running out they need to win now.

I would also do the trade if I were the Magic; Howard is going to walk after this season. It would be smart to get a young player like Bynum back it return. The reason why the Magic probably won’t do this trade is they want to make one more run at the NBA title with Howard.

A source close to Howard told the Bright House Sports Network, that Howard wants to stay with the Magic. The source also says that Howard is hoping that Magic President Otis Smith “hits a home run” during the upcoming free agency.

If somehow Smith can bring in other top players around Howard I think he will stay but if Smith has no luck in free agency Howard is gone after the season.
