College basketball is upon us. With no NBA it is the only game in town. So who are the best players this year in college basketball? Over the next couple of days I will release my top 10 players at each position.
1.Jordan Taylor, Wisconsin (18.1 ppg) (6-1/195, Sr.)
One word to describe Taylor’s game is complete. He was on all the Big Ten defensive team while being the 5th leading scorer in the conference. His 3.83 to 1 is one of the best assist to turnover ratios in college basketball history. He also shot 43 % from three.
2. Tu Holloway, Xavier (19.7 ppg) (6-0.190, Sr.)
Holloway can do it all besides averaging almost 20 points per game; he also averaged 5 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.4 steals. He also recorded two triple doubles last season.
3. Kendall Marshall, North Carolina (6.2 ppg) 6-3,186, So.)
He is the reason the Tar Heels made a big second half push. He is the best passing point guard in the country. Marshall averaged 6.2 assists per game last season.
4. Scoop Jardine, Syracuse (12.5 ppg) (6-2/190, Sr.)
Was second in the Big East in assists with 5.9 per game. Became a legit three-point threat last season. Also recorded 1.6 steals.
5. Maalik Wayns, Villanova (13.8 ppg) (6-2/200, Jr.)
One of the quickest players in the country. He can get to the rim of the dribble with ease. He also knows how to get his teammates involved. He averaged 4.4 assists last season.
6.Marquis Teague, Kentucky (6-2,189,Fr.)
Yes, Kentucky gets another star freshman point guard. The first thing you noticed about Teague is his athleticism and quickness. Teague is an excellent ball handler, with great court vision.
7. Ray McCallum, Detroit (13.5 ppg) (6-2/188, Soph.)
Could have played anywhere in the country but wanted to play for his dad at Detroit. Also averaged 4.7 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.6 steals.
8. Dee Bost, Mississippi State (15.3 ppg) (6-2/176, Sr.)
Only played half the season because of suspensions. When he plays he is one of the best playmakers in the SEC. Had 6.2 assists per game last season.

10. Tyshawn Taylor, Kansas (9.3 ppg) (6-3/185, Sr.)
Taylor will be a 4-year starter at Kansas. Was 4th in the Big 12 in assists last season with 4.6 per game. Also shot a career best 38 % from three. His scoring numberd should go up with the star players the Wildcats lose.
