College basketball is right around the corner. College basketball is the only game in town, which will give even more attention to the college game. I can’t wait for this upcoming season.
In the next few days I will be releasing my all conference teams for the power six conferences. I already released my all Big East, Big Ten , Big 12 , Pac 12 and ACC teams. Now here is my all SEC teams.
1st Team
G John Jenkins, Vanderbilt (19.5 ppg) (6-4/215, Jr.) – Jenkins led the SEC in scoring last season. Jenkins can flat out shoot the basketball; he has unlimited range. Made 3.1 3-pointers per game last season. Has an underrated mid range game.
F Terrence Jones, Kentucky (15.7 ppg) (6-9/252, Soph.) – Was the top freshman in the SEC a year ago. Jones does a little bit of everything for the Wildcats. He led Kentucky in rebounds (8.8) and blocks (1.9), and almost led them in steals (1.1). Can also shoot the three
F JaMychal Green, Alabama (15.5 ppg) (6-8/228, Sr.) – Leads all SEC active players with 20 career double doubles. Green led the Crimson Tide in points, rebounds (7.5), and blocks (2.1). Also averaged 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals.
F Anthony Davis, Kentucky (6-10/220, Fr.) - A couple years ago in high school Davis was a guard, now he has grown into a power forward. Davis has great length and size, and he just needs to add some muscle. Davis has guard skills in a big mans body.
C Festus Ezeli, Vanderbilt (13 ppg) (6-11/255, Sr.) – Ezeli had a breakthrough season last year. He especially improved his offensive game. Has always been a tough defender and he averaged 2.6 blocks and 6.3 rebounds.
2nd Team
F Tony Mitchell, Alabama (15.2 ppg) (6-6/210, Jr.) – Mitchell might be one of the most underrated players in the country. Despite being undersized he still averaged 7.1 rebounds. Also averaged more than 1 assist, steal and block per game.
F Jeffery Taylor, Vanderbilt (14.7 ppg) (6-7/225, Sr.) – Taylor will be a 4 year starter. Has made ALL SEC teams the last 2 seasons. He also recorded 5.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists. Can score in a multiple of ways.
G Erving Walker, Florida (14.6 ppg) (5-8/171,Sr.) – Despite being really undersized one of the toughest players in America. Averaged 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals. Walker made a number of clutch shots last season.
G Dee Bost, Mississippi State (15.3 ppg) (6-2/176, Sr.) – Only played half the season because of suspensions. When he plays he is one of the best playmakers in the SEC. Had 6.2 assists per game last season.
G Doron Lamb, Kentucky (12.3 ppg) (6-4/210, Soph.) – Was outstanding last season as a freshman. Lamb is one of the best three point shooters in all of college basketball. Shot 48.6 % from three last season.
3rd Team
G Marquis Teague, Kentucky (6-2,189,Fr.) - Yes, Kentucky gets another star freshman point guard. The first thing you noticed about Teague is his athleticism and quickness. Teague is an excellent ball handler, with great court vision.
F Renardo Sidney, Mississippi State (14.2 ppg) (6-10/280, Jr.) – Despite all the issues he had last season from weight issues to fighting teammates; he still had a pretty good season. Sidney also averaged 7.6 rebounds.
F Patric Young, Florida (3.4 ppg) (6-9/245, Soph.) - Young didn’t get to play that much as a freshman, because Florida had 3 senior forwards. Despite limited minutes he led team in blocks. Young is very athletic and also a dominant rebounder.
G Kenny Boynton, Florida (14.2 ppg) (6-2/183, Jr.) – Besides being a top defender Boynton can also score. He can get to rim with his quickness, and he also hit 80 threes last season. Also had 2.9 assists per game.
G Gerald Robinson, Georgia (12.2 ppg)(6-1/180, Sr.) - A very athletic player that likes to attack the rim. Could score 2000 points in his career. Also a good passer averaged 4 assists last season.
