I just finished my countdown of the top 30 NBA draft prospects for the 2012 NBA draft. Of course with every list there were some players that were real close to making the top 30. Below is a list of players that I strongly considered, but they did not make the cut for whatever reason.
Doron Lamb SG Kentucky Soph. 6’4” – Lamb is a flat out shooter with deep range; needs to get stronger and improve all around game.
JaMychal Green PF Alabama Sr. 6’8” – A very explosive athlete that can finish around the rim. Needs to work on post moves and jump shot.
Kris Middleton SF Texas A&M Jr. 6’7” – Great shooter and excels on the defensive end; needs to add weight and attack the rim more.
Jordan Taylor PG Wisconsin Sr. 6’1” – Taylor is a point guard with great basketball IQ, but he is not a great athlete.
Alex Oriakhi PF UConn Jr. 6’9” – He is a very good athlete and shot blocker; needs to get better at his overall offensive game.
Reggie Johnson C Miami Jr. 6’10” - Johnson has great size and has a soft touch around the rim. He needs to get quicker and in better shape.
Tu Holloway PG Xavier Sr. 6’0” – He is a point guard that can score and get his teammates involved problem is he lacks height.
Tyshawn Taylor PG Kansas Sr. 6’3” – A solid overall point guard that can do a bit of everything; has some character concerns.
Terrence Rose SG Washington Soph. 6’6” – Ross is a great athlete that can shot the ball; he needs to work on his ball handling.
Durand Scott SG Miami Jr. 6’3” – Scott is a very good ball handler and knows how to get to the rim; must become a better shooter.
