26. Dallas Mavericks SF Jordan Hamilton Grade B+
Wow the Mavericks just won the NBA Championship and Hamilton likely a top 15 picks falls to the Mavs. Hamilton is a scorer and a great athlete. The Mavs really need wing help with Caron Butler, DeShawn Stevenson, and Peja Stojakovic all free agents
27. New Jersey Nets or Boston Celtics PF JaJuan Johnson Grade B
This was the Nets pick but there are picking for the Celtics. The Nets will receive the Celtics 25 pick Marshon Brooks. So for the Nets I give a B grade for the pick of Brooks. Brooks is a big time scorer who will help the Nets off the bench. He also excels at creating his own shoot. I also like Johnson to Boston; they need a lot of help up front. Johnson can do it all shoot outside and mix it up near the rim.
28. Minnesota Timberwolves PG/SG Norris Cole Grade C
This was the Bulls pick but there was a trade, what the Timberwolves took another point guard. Don’t get me wrong Cole may be a great talent, but isn’t Ricky Rubio playing for the Timberwolves next season?
29. San Antonio Spurs PG Corey Joseph Grade C
This is a big surprise; I thought he wouldn’t go until the mid second round. With the Spurs trading George Hill they now need a backup point guard. I really thought the Spurs should have got some help in the frontcourt, but hey who am I to question the Spurs they always take under the radar players.
30. Chicago Bulls SF Jimmy Butler Marquette Grade B-
He is a very versatile player, he is a average player that does not excel at anything but doesn’t really have any real weaknesses. He is a very hard working player who will fit the Bulls system. I thought the Bulls should have drafted a shooting guard, but there aren’t many out there.
