21. Portland Trailblazers PG/SG Nolan Smith Grade B-
Smith gives the Trailblazers great versaltiy playing either point guard or shooting guard. Smith may not be the best athletic but the kid is a gamer. Portland could really use a backup point guard a role Smith could fill right away. Think Chris Duhon.
22. Denver Nuggets C/PF Kenneth Faried Grade A-
Faried is the best rebounder in the whole draft, but he is not a great offensive player. He is really needed by the Nuggets current center Nene is a free agent; Kenyon Martin is a free agent, and Al Harrington is going downhill. Think Udonis Haslem
23. Houston Rockets C Nikola Mirotic Grade C
Mirotic won’t be in the NBA for a while, but he is a great talent who would have been a higher pick if he weren’t going to be playing overseas for a couple of years. The Rockets need help now, so that why I don’t get the pick. Update well, the Rockets might be trading with the Bulls and they would ship Mirotic away.
24. Oklahoma City Thunder PG/SG Reggie Jackson Grade C+
I love Reggie Jackson as a player, but I don’t really get this pick for the Thunder they already have Russell Westbrook and Eric Maynor at the point, and James Harden and Thabo Sefolosha at shooting guard. The Thunder should have drafted a backup for Kevin Durant. Think George Hill.
25. Boston Celtics SG Marson Brooks Grade B+
Brooks he a big time scorer, he can really create his own shot, but he can be a gunner. The Celtics need a better backup for Ray Allen, and they need to get more athletic and they do so with Brooks.
