Carmelo Anthony a Los Angeles Laker in the future?

Published on July 10, 2013 by Scott Shirley   ·   No Comments

While this year’s NBA free agency is winding down, they are already rumors about next years’ NBA free agency. Carmelo Anthony will be a free agent next summer and there already rumors floating around out there that Anthony could land with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Anthony future in New York all depends how much help the Knicks put around Anthony. The knicks need another star player probably to make Anthony happy.

According to Eric Pincus Lakers star Kobe Bryant has always wanted to play with Anthony.

In 2011, Kobe Bryant was asked which NBA player he would most like to team up with.“I would actually like to play with Melo,” said Bryant, as documented by Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld.com in 2011. “Championships are won on the inside and I’m always thinking about winning the title. I would love to play with Melo because I would know that I have an inside presence. That’s really been the biggest strength with our Lakers team.”

This would make sense for the Lakers because they will have cap room without signing Dwight Howard. After Bryant retires in a couple of years, Anthony then can become the face of the franchise.
