Orlando Magic :NBA Offseason (draft, trades, and free agency)

Orlando:  Draft Grade Grade B-

(19) Andrew Nicholson, PF; (49) Kyle O’Quinn, C

With the future of Dwight Howard uncertain the Magic had no choice but two draft to big man in this draft.

Nicholson is a big that can score both inside and out. He is a pretty good three pointer shooter for being a big man. The only question with him is his strength. He was the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year. This is a good pick in case the Magic cannot resign Ryan Anderson.

O’Quinn came on to the scene when he had a monster game in the NCAA tournament against Missouri. O’Quinn is a very raw strong back up center in this league. He is a great rebounder and defensive player. He could see back up minutes behind Howard for the time being.

Offseason/ Free Agents and Trades: Grade D

- While there was a new Dwight Howard trade rumor every minute , one finally worked out . It was a four team trade in which Howard was  sent to Los Angeles Lakers. In return the Magic will recive a bunch of players and picks. The Magic will receive Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic, rookie  Moe Harkless and three first-round draft picks.

- The Magic resigned point guard Jameer Nelson.

- The Magic sent Ryan Anderson to New Orleans for Gustavo Ayon.

- The Magic waived Von Wafer.

- They signed E’Twaun Moore from the Rockets.
