Damian Lillard goes 6th overall to Portland Grade B

Published on June 29, 2012 by Scott Shirley   ·   No Comments

Lillard gets to stay home in the northwest with Portland. Portland did not get good point guard play last season and their point guards are free agents. So they needed to get one in the draft. Look for Lillard to start from day one.

Lillard stock has been on the rise for a long time now. Don’t be fooled by him playing at a small school. Lillard biggest strength is his ability to score the ball in a multiple ways. He shot over 40 % from three last season and he can get to the hole with his terrific athletic ability. The only true question for Lillard is can he handle being a point guard or his he a scorer. It will probably can him a while to learn how to run a team. He was the second leading scorer in the nation.

Damian Lillard, Weber State
Height: 6-3. Weight: 195. Year: Jr.
’11-’12: 24.5 ppg, 4 apg, 5 rpg, 2.3 TOpg, 46.7 FG%, 88.7 FT%, 40.9 3-PT%
