1st Round NBA Playoff Predictions: (Bulls vs. 76ers ) (Heat vs. Knicks)

#1 Chicago Bulls vs. #8 Philadelphia 76ers

The 76ers really struggled the 2nd half of the season after a strong start. The 76ers won their first match up with the Bulls but the Bulls won the next 2 games. The question with the Bulls will be the health of star player and last year’s MVP Derrick Rose. Rose played 2 out of the 3 final regular season game and looked to be fine. In the two games he played against the 76ers he averaged 26.5 points and 7 assists. These teams both play hard nose defense and also like to slow the ball down on offense. The Bulls and 76ers were two of the three teams in the NBA to allow less than 90 points per game. The 76ers don’t have that one star player that can take over a game. They also do not shot the three well, which won’t help there upset chances. Too much Rose, Luol Deng, Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah. Bulls in 4

#2 Miami Heat vs. #7 New York Knicks

The Heat could not wait for this year’s playoffs to start after the disappointment in last year’s final. What, a season the Knicks have had so many ups and downs and the story of Jeremy Lin. In their three meetings this season, the Heat have dominated the Knicks outscoring them by an average of 10.7 points. The Knicks are playing better defense with new head coach Mike Woodson but they just don’t have the defenders to match up with the Heat’s two stars LeBron James and Dwayne Wade. Against the Knicks this season James is averaging 26.7 points while Wade is averaging 26. Knicks Star Carmelo Anthony can create his own shot but he doesn’t have the support around that the Heat do. Also Anthony has not had a ton of success in the playoffs. While everyone talks about the Heat’s offense they are also a pretty dominant defense team. They will shut down the Knicks and the Knicks will have no answer for the Heat on offense. Heat in 5
