Arizona Recruit with Ridiculous Alley oop

Published on February 20, 2012 by Scott Shirley   ·   No Comments

Gabe York will not likely make headlines until next year college basketball season where he will be playing at Arizona. However, recently York had a dunk in a high school game that should make Wildcat fans wishing York was playing for them now.

One of York’s teammates is holding the ball out by the three point line setting up a play for York to cut to the basket. His teammate throws a perfect pass and York finishes the alley oop with authority. On the dunk York jumps over another player. What also makes this dunk impressive is York caught the pass with one hand and threw it down with one hand. He also had impressive hang time on the finish.

Get this York is only 6-foot-2, yeah he has mad jumping ability.

York attends Lutheran high school in California. He is ranked a 4 star prospect and the 13th best shooting guard in the country. York is a very explosive athlete who like to attacks the rim. He can also show off his three point shooting skills. He needs to get a little more strength, and work harder on the defense end. Arizona head coach Sean Miller continues to bring in top talent, and is returning Arizona basketball back to the glory days. Arizona should be a top ten team for years to come. York committed to Arizona on July 10th, 2011.

Check out video of the dunk below.
